The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department was established in the year 1986 with the avowed intent of raising highly qualified Engineers and Researchers who can make substantial contribution to the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has a strength of 1200 students guided by a team of devoted and diligent staff members. Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes are offered by the department. The PG programme includes Applied Electronics, VLSI Design and Communication Systems. It also offeres Ph.D degree. The Department has well equipped laboratories such as VLSI Design, DSP, Microwave, RF Communication system, Microprocessor, Microcontroller, Linear and digital IC and Electronics Labs. Advanced softwares like FEKO, Synopsis, Microsim 8.0 etc., are the pride of the department.The Electronics and Communication Hi-Tech Organization (ECHO) instituted in the department conducts regular Technical activities like Quiz, Paper Presentation and weekly Seminars.
